Hello, fellow wine lovers! Rest assured, I haven’t fallen off the face of the earth. I’ve been revisiting my tried and true favorites and learning about a few new producers during my travels. But I’m back and I have a new wine that you will want to get your hands on. Even though we are a few days away from the official start of summer, the Nashville temperatures say otherwise. It’s been miserably hot. So much so, that the thought of lounging poolside isn’t even appealing.
During my last visit to Trader Joe’s, I noticed a new bottle in the sparkling section, Le Fizz. Not only was the label eye-catching, but I loved the fact that the bottle had a swing-top closure keeping all the “fizz” in between glasses. I grabbed a bottle and decided to pop it open this week. I figured 100-degree temperatures called for a glass of chilled wine. Let’s jump into the tasting notes, shall we?
TASTING NOTES:
Bottle cap top
Slight effervescence
Notes of white peach and citrus
Vibrant with a hint of tartness in the mouth
Overall, very well-balanced
Verdict:
Y’all, I realize this may be a little premature, but this could easily be the wine of the summer for me. It’s incredibly well balanced. This drinks very well on its own and would pair nicely with summer salads and cheeseboards. These bottles are limited, so I’ll be heading to Trader Joe’s today to pick up a few more as the summer of 2022 will undoubtedly be hot! If you grab a bottle of this, let me know what you think in the comments below!
Until Next Time!
