Burger game -Strong! Farmburger opens in Nashville
Grassfed burgers, ridiculously good onion rings and adult floats, what more could a girl want!
Last Thursday, Farmburger officially opened it's doors to the Nashville community. Farmburger was founded in Decatur, Georgia in 2010 with Nashville being its ninth location. Burgers are made from 100% grassfed beef that is dry aged for two weeks and grown fresh. Everything you will find on the menu is seasonal and sourced from local farms.
As you enter, you are greeted with two large menu boards are displayed with loads of mouthwatering options. The first board not only has the blackboard burgers but gives you the option to get creative as you wish. Topping vary from a fried farm egg to roasted bone marrow and oxtail marmalade. Clearly, a foodie's dream. The second board highlights the available libations. Farmburger features many local drafts as well as white and red wine.
My creative juices weren't flowing so I decided to keep it simple and ordered the No. 1- The Farmburger which has aged Vermont Cheddar, caramelized onions, FB sauce and I decided to add bacon. Because my eyes were clearly bigger than my stomach, I decided that the pimento cheese fries with pickled jalapenos were a must for the table. The burger was incredibly juicy and flavorful. ( Make sure you get LOTS of napkins!) The FB sauce was light and creamy and the perfect compliment to the bacon and onions. We then decided to dig into the fries. While they were good, I expected a bit more pimento cheese throughout, but then again, I can NEVER have too much cheese. My friend ordered the onion rings and they were to die for. I ended up stealing a few from her to go with my burger. They were the perfectly cooked with a crispy battered outside and a tender tasty onion on the inside. They were served with a smoked paprika mayo that was out of this world!
Since I dined during work hours, I was unable to try one of the adult floats, but don't you worry, I'm coming for you Youngs Double Chocolate Stout!
Next time you have a craving for a cheeseburger and rings, head to over to Farmburger and check it out!
