Over the last couple of months, I’ve decided I have two work personalities: the one who hits snooze at least two times before crawling out of bed and heading into the office and the one who will wake up at any ungodly time in the middle of the night, without hesitation might I add, to catch a flight for a work trip. The past two months have been a little chaotic, and frankly, I’ve spent more time commuting back and forth to BNA than I have in my bed- a good problem to have on occasion.
Read MoreNashville has a vibrant and diverse dining scene that has gained significant attention in recent years. It seems like a new restaurant or bar is opening weekly, making it hard for this girl to keep up. As I've been combing through restaurant listicles and articles about some of my favorite long-time establishments shuttering, there was one place I've been keeping an eye on: Butterlamp Bread and Beverage. I was bursting with anticipation when I saw a wine bar and bread house opening in East Nashville. After all, those are two of my favorite food groups- Do you really need anything more?
Read MoreNashville, Tennessee, is one of the top tourist destinations in the country, and for a good reason. While we may be known for our Honky Tonks and Hot Chicken, Music City has so much more to offer.
Take from a Nashville native.
From culinary adventures to outdoorsy exploration ( And no, I am not talking about wandering up and down Broadway) and our world-renowned music scene, Nashville really does have it all.
Read MoreIt's officially that time of year again when I scroll through Instagram and think, "You're on vacation….again?" While my feed is filled with friends sipping on Aperol Spritzes, wandering through cobblestone streets, and learning to make the perfect pasta, I've discovered a little taste of Italy a little closer to home at Ophelia's Pizza + Bar.
Read MoreRecently, I was out to lunch with one of my dear friends who loves food almost as much as I do, when she raised quite the polarizing question: “ What’s been your best meal at a new Nashville restaurant?”
Read MoreI’m curious, how many of you dine at a new restaurant on opening weekend?
For those food enthusiasts like myself, there seems to be a feverish race to be the first to dine at the newest or latest restaurant in Nashville. Perhaps my competitive nature and curiosity get the better of me, but let’s face it, if you aren’t the first to showcase something on social media, you might as well not even show up.
Read MoreIf you’ve wanted to check out Southall Farm & Inn without paying the hefty price tag of a two-night stay, I’ve got some great news! They are now inviting locals to experience its luxury amenities, including one of their four dining options, Sojourner.
Read MoreAs a food enthusiast, I always watch for unique culinary experiences throughout middle Tennessee. Wine tastings, cheese pairings, cooking classes, you name it, and I’m there. One day while scrolling through Instagram, I happened upon quite the event: a honey tasting at Southall Farm’s jammery. While I had no idea exactly what honey tasting entailed, I knew it was something that I had to try.
Read MoreIt's a well-known fact that there's no shortage of restaurants in Nashville.Except in one area, Green Hills. While the area has flourished in the last few years with the addition of Cava, Chopt, North Italia, and True Food Kitchen, there are also locations like Zoe's Kitchen and Pei Wei closing their doors. As I drove down Hillsboro Road, I noticed that CPK closed (FINALLY) and renovations were being made to the space. Uncertain of what was opening in the former California Pizza Kitchen space, I decided to do what I do best, internet stalk. In no time, I discovered that Sam Fox was expanding outside downtown Nashville and bringing his Doughbird concept to Green Hills.
Read MoreSince Arnold’s Country Kitchen closed earlier this year, I’ve been at a loss for where to eat. Knowing the number of restaurants in Nashville, that may seem ridiculous to many of you, but Arnold’s was my ride-or-die. I’d go there for a cocktail and grab a quick dinner. Still, most importantly, I’d find myself there on many Saturdays praying that the Nashville bachelorettes and downtown tourists had not depleted the 7-Up Pancake supply.
Read MoreIt’s hard to believe that in just a few days, we will say goodbye to 2022. It’s been a remarkable year, to say the least. I’m so incredibly grateful that travel has resumed, and I’ve had the opportunity to explore several new areas and revisit a few favorites. Recently, I spent some time scrolling through my photos, reliving some of my favorite moments and dishes from 2022. Trust me; there have been a lot ( and yes, the scale agrees.) If you’re new to Blonde Voyage Nashville, you should know that I am a truffle enthusiast. If it’s on the menu, I am going to order it. The aroma is simply intoxicating; it’s like nothing else you will experience.
Read MoreNashville has seen its fair share of Chicago-style pizzerias make their way through Music City. While some were short-lived, I’m looking at you Gino’s East, others like 312 Pizza Company have been successfully feeding Nashvillians their deep-dish pies for years.
