When I travel abroad, I inevitably find one dish I fall head over heels in love with. Of course, I arrive back in the states and try my hardest to find a dish locally that emulates it. Realizing that it is an impossible task, I end up scrolling through pictures on my phone re-living that meal.
This past week was no different. Overcast rainy Nashville nights had me craving pasta.

My girlfriend knows me all too well. Before I could even finish my text about reservations and restaurants, she had already texted with a full blown itinerary. And by now, you know I am SUCH A FAN of an itinerary. I was thrilled to see that she scheduled Fiola for lunch. I just love it when a plan falls into place!

In preparation for Valentine's day/Galentine's Day, I partnered with Gourmet Texas Pasta and created their Cabernet Sauvignon Fettucine. I mean let's be honest- anytime wine is involved, you can't go wrong.. Right? I followed their instructions almost exactly, but tweaked a few of the steps just to experiment a bit.

January is always a tough month for me. Not only am I coming off my holiday hangover, but it's terribly cold and gloomy. To add fuel to the fire, many of my friends are striving to successfully achieve their new year resolutions which means- "No, we won't meet you after work for that glass of wine, we have to hit the gym!
