Y’all, it’s been a wild but wonderful week. Aside from receiving my first COVID-19 vaccination, I spent some quality time with friends and family, got a new ride, and am anxiously awaiting the delivery of my Peloton. What can I say, quarantine has brought out the best in this girl.
To celebrate, I snagged a bottle of wine during my most recent Costco run called Pessimist. As it states on the bottle, “ A pessimist is never disappointed.” If I am being completely honest, I was quite the pessimist last year ( as I am sure many of us were), but I have a renewed sense of hope, and I am excited to see what this next trip around the sun has in store.
I realize it’s out of character to share a bottle of wine that doesn’t come from Aldi or Trader Joe’s, but I thought why the hell not. Sometimes you need to celebrate with a bottle that you wouldn’t normally drink during the week, and that’s exactly what I did. So let’s talk tasting notes, shall we?
TASTING NOTES:
Classic cork
Bold; Full body, fruit-forward, and complex
Notes of dark fruit- think blueberry, blackberry, and hints of plum
Complex character with hints of vanilla and oak throughout
Smooth and splendid finish
Verdict:
This is the first time I’ve enjoyed a bottle of the Pessimist. My only complaint is the amount of sediment that was in the bottle- it was rather obnoxious, but the wine was still delicious. I shared that I was pouring this bottle on Instagram, and you all LOVE it! I had no many DMs about it being one of your go-to bottles and a favorite in your wine cooler. Even though this price point is a little higher than what I normally share, grab a bottle the next time you find yourself at the wine shop or Costco… trust me, you are worth it!
Until Next Time!
