Virago's Brunch with a View!
Virago joined it's other M Street friends, Tavern and Saint Anejo, on Saturday, September 10th serving up brunch to Nashville's finest. Virago never disappoints, so I was anxiously awaiting the chef's creations. My girlfriend and I didn't know where to start! So many delicious options! In order to maximize our flavor, we opted to share three different plates: Roasted Hazelnut Burrata, Breakfast Bomb, and the Cereal Roll.
Up first, the Breakfast Bomb. The Bomb is one of my favorite sushi rolls at Virago. Honestly, it's hard for me to think about a time there when I didn't order it. Needless to say, when I saw they tailored this roll for breakfast, it was a no-brainer. I promise you won't be disappointed! The roll was filled with bacon, asparagus, sriracha, tempura shrimp, and topped with scrambled eggs, unagi and scallions. Each bite satiated my breakfast craving.
The Roasted Hazelnut Burrata was the perfect compliment to our sushi rolls. The burrata was placed atop a bed of arugula tossed in a blueberry balsamic vinaigrette. Bits of citrus and hazelnut were woven throughout the dish. Mouthwatering!!
We saved the best for last, the Cereal Roll. I've seen many restaurants get creative with sushi rolls, but this takes the cake. Not only is this one of the most colorful sushi rolls that I have seen, but one of the sweetest. The Cereal Roll is a combination of sweet rice, Inari tofu, mascarpone, crunch rolled in Fruity Peebles and topped with condensed milk. Is your mouth watering?? Mine is! I could eat this over and over! Highly recommend ordering this beauty and sharing it with the table.
Brunch with a View is served Saturday and Sunday from 11-3pm. Virago is offering this for a limited time, so make sure that you make your reservations today!
