There's nothing like summer in Nashville. With 100% humidity and temperatures in the high 90's, people are doing anything and everything possible to stay cool. Luckily, I found a tasty new way to beat the heat, Frisson Soft Serve.
Frisson Soft Serve is a food truck serving up artisan gelato with an assortment of delicious toppings. No, this isn't like a trip to Sweet Cece's or Menchie's. The gelato is fabulous and the toppings are over the top. Stalking them on Instagram for a few weeks, I was more than excited when they announced a permanent parking on Charlotte Avenue.
It was sunny and 78 degrees on Saturday so I figured there was no better time to swing by and check out what they were serving up.
Frisson has 7 different specialty cones and if one of those doesn't make your mouth water they also have floats, shakes, and sundaes that you can build to your liking.
Wanting to try "all the things", we decided to order mini cones knocking out as many specialty selections as possible.
Below you will see some of our choices. There's nothing I love more than dulce de leche. It's one of my favorites things that I was introduced to in Argentina, so ordering the Salty De Leche was a no brainer for me. And what kind of blogger would I be if I didn't get the cone that was winning the heart of Instagrammers everywhere, the Nashvegas. Out of the two, the Salty De Leche was by far the winner. While I enjoyed the Nashvegas, it was a bit too sweet for my liking and part of my cotton candy fell off before I could eat it #fail!
